Lieber Herr Schmid,

I have contemplated the timing of your piano shipment and have further recommendations:

WALTER PIANO TRANSPORT is the most careful and conscientious piano moving company in the U.S. They have shipped pianos to and from our Montana showrooms for nearly two decades.

Their equipment and trucks are state-of-the-art, their trailers are heated/temperature controlled, and their moving professionals are highly experienced and reliable.

Here is my best advice:

Contact one or both companies below, or another international shipper, and ask that they engage Walter Transport to bring your Steinway piano from Billings, Montana to their crating and shipping facility without re-routing the instrument. In other words, the piano will stay in the same heated truck from when it leaves our showroom to arrival at the West-coast crating facility where temperatures are never cold enough to present a concern.

Since none of us are getting any younger, I feel that my best advice for you is to ship your piano without undue delay and to start enjoying it.
